Message from Dr. Brahaney to All Staff and Parents

Dear DoDEA Europe staff and families,
We regret to inform you that all athletic events scheduled for this weekend have been postponed, and there will be an attempt to reschedule once funding and travel become available.
Additionally, this cancellation impacts all planned or upcoming travel related to student athletics, extracurricular activities, and associated staff travel requiring transportation, airfare, or accommodations. At this time, all non-mission essential travel is paused. Included in this pause is any DoDEA student and staff travel requiring the use of a Government Travel Charge Card (both individual and Centrally Billed Accounts).
There are only two exceptions:
- Travel in direct support of military operations
- Permanent Change of Station (PCS)
This aligns with the current situation involving the Continuing Appropriations and Executive Order 14222, Implementing the President's 'Department of Government Efficiency' Cost Efficiency Initiative, and the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness memorandum, Guidance on Use of Government Travel Charge Cards by Department of Defense Civilian Employees.
